Meet The People That Make Webdrill Special...

Jared Webb

CEO

I started my drilling career working on the surface with a company called Western Deep Hole at Black Swan back in 1996. I ventured underground from there and never looked back –

starting my own company in 2014.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked at a variety of mine sites and commodities, experiencing some challenging drilling conditions and ground types across the world. Over the years, I’ve built up a wealth of knowledge and experience that helps Webdrill provide a quality service to its clients.

If there’s one thing you need to know about me, it’s that I’m passionate about underground diamond drilling and our people. My desire to continuously improve on the ‘old-school’ methods is what drives me, and Webdrill, forward every day.

Michael Farr

General Manager

In 2006, I was introduced to the drilling industry after starting my working life in labouring jobs – including brick laying and professional cray fishing. Since starting in the industry, I’ve

never looked back! Making the move to Webdrill was one of best career choices I’ve made in my 15 years in drilling.

During my career, I’ve worked at several sites and with multiple clients throughout all states and territories of Australia. I’ve taken on roles of Driller, Supervisor and Senior Manager – and been lucky enough to enjoy a large variety of roles within the industry in all aspects of operations.

I pride myself on my ability to work closely with both the operations teams and our respective clients. I’m always focused on building client relations and working together as a team to achieve our common goals. It’s great to be here at Webdrill doing what I love.

Sion Roberts

Operations Manager

I’m what you call a drilling veteran – I started in the industry in early 2003! Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work all over the world, including Western Australia and

in Portugal’s Neves Corvo mine.

I’ve spent most of my time at mines with very challenging ground conditions and have experience in all current underground diamond drilling applications, spending almost 10 years at BHP’s Leinster Nickel Operation.

My time there – and at Rio Tinto’s Argyle Diamond mine – has given me extensive knowledge of the drilling industry and helps me deliver the best service possible to the clients we work with here at Webdrill.

Safety and Change Management Specialist

I started my career as a WHS Advisor with a major drilling
company back in 2008 in WA

In 2011 I transitioned into working for Mining as the Mine
WHS, Training, Mines Rescue and Workers Compensation Manager.

I was grateful and honoured to have such opportunities in mining come my way. I made amazing friendships for life and love that I had an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and reach for something more. In 2018 I farewelled my career in Mining and stepped into my newest and most amazing role as a mum to two beautiful little girls. In 2021 I became part of a software development team assisting in new software development for mining and transitioning people into new ways in South Africa, Canada, USA, Australia as a Lead In Change Management. My Career in Change Management further extended into Zambia. In 2023 a love of both combined with a joint opportunity in WHS and Change Management.

Ryan Griffin

Safety, Compliance and training Superintendent

I started my drilling career in 2002 as an offsider on a surface diamond rig, working mainly in the Pilbara.

From there I transitioned to underground in mid 2003 and started as an offsider for a large

underground drilling company, working my way up through offsider, driller then onto supervisor. In 2007 I made the move back onto the surface, drilling in central Mexico but was convinced to come back to underground after a short time. End of 2007 I started with another large underground drilling company, moving from driller, supervisor then in 2018 I transitioned over to the safety department. I have been in safety since, trying to make positive change everywhere I go and change the industry perception of the safety department being “cops”, one interaction at a time.

Daniel Fox

Maintenance Manager

At the age of just 16, I took
on an apprenticeship as a Maintenance Electrician in New Zealand underground coal mines. 5 years later – once qualified – I moved

myself and my young family to Western Australia where I first started FIFO to Papua New Guinea. I landed my first job in the underground drilling industry.

I spent the next 8 years growing, learning and honing my craft. During this time, I had the opportunity to upskill my trade qualifications and finished an apprenticeship as a mobile plant mechanic to further my maintenance knowledge even more. I’ve been fortunate to visit multiple sites throughout Australia, exerting places I thought I may never have seen.

This has now put me in a great position as a Maintenance Manager at Webdrill. I have the luxury of being able to spend time on tools whilst also sharing my knowledge and tricks of the trade with my young and talented maintenance crew. I’m looking forward to the journey ahead and can’t wait to see what we can create as a team together.

Pantoro embarked on what has become a productive partnership on the development of the Nicolson Gold project with Webdrill selected as the preferred contractor in March 2016. The safe, professional and timely delivery of quality underground diamond

drilling services has played a key role in the Company’s increased understanding of the deposit. This work has culminated in a significant increase in Mineral Resource in just over 12 months since underground drilling commenced. I have no hesitation in recommending Jared and his team to any prospective client.
